| Clinical Use | <p>Monitoring of antiarrythmic drug level. Serum concentration peaks at 15-60 min following i.m. and 90-120 min following oral dosage. About 15-20% of Procainamide is bound reversibly to serum proteins. Elimination half-life is 3-4 hours in patients with normal renal function. It is longer in patients with decreased renal function and in the elderly. About 20% of the administered dose is metabolized to NAPA in the liver.</p> |
